SSS has recently passed a proposition paper asking for a P500 fee for processing and printing of the SSS ID. No date has been set yet on when this will be implemented but this proposition is close to being approved.
To those who have not applied for the ID yet, I suggest you apply now that it is still for free.
FYI, the ID can be used for availing SSS benefits, i.e., Salary loan, sickness and Maternity benefits. Not to mention the unquestionable validity for those piece of plastic they call the SSS ID.

Hi. As of this writing, August 14, 2008, I have received no confirmation or updates that the proposal is approved and implemented. Please disregard the title and assume it is still for free and let’s wait in the news because for sure this will be publicized when the proposition is approved. Thanks all.
I love my new Samsung D900i but there are some things that I wish Samsung could have done better like the battery life and lengthy process for sending an SMS. But the screen/display is great, probably the best there is among this price bracket. Bought it for 11,600 pesos by the way, at Aerophone SM Cebu. What I like about this phone is the design. The sleek sliding mechanism could make anyone stare at it. Mukha talaga cyang sosyal. The camera is great too (3.15 MP). Also, MicroSD external memory is comparatively cheaper compared to Sony Ericsson since we can buy Kingston MicroSD at CR-King for about P600 1 Gig. Can’t have that price when buying Pro Duo or M2, right? Basta, I like this phone.
